13 Junji Ito Stories Get Live-Action Anthology Series Adaptation

A baker’s dozen of frights are on the way to TV Tokyo, which announced plans to produce a live-action anthology series adaptation of 13 Junji Ito manga stories. Titled Strange -Ito Junji no Yoru mo Nemurenu Kimyō na Hanashi- , the series is set for a July 3 premiere on TV Tokyo’s Drama 24 block. An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account are live for the project. Directors for the adaptations include Atsuhiro Yamada, Yuta Shimotsu and Ryota Kondo, with Daisuke Hosaka overseeing scripts and Tatsuro Inamoto teaming up on screenwriting.
